Teeth Whitening
Whiter teeth, in about 1 hour. Years of yellowing, staining from coffee, tea, red wine, and soft drinks are almost magically erased in the time it takes to get a haircut. In fact, clinical studies prove that the whitening treatment results in an average improvement of eight shades whiter!
Professional teeth whitening treatment has been successful at removing stains from caps, veneers, or bonded teeth. However, a whitening procedure in general cannot change the color of the caps, veneers, or bonds. Discuss your situation with us to determine what you can expect.
How Long Does It Last?
The long-term results depend primarily on you. Certain habits, such as the use of tobacco products, drinking coffee, tea, and dark soft drinks, infrequent visits to the dentist for regular cleaning, etc., can work against the results.
Preventative Care
Consultations: We know that it is essential for patients to feel absolutely comfortable when choosing a dentist as well as a "dental home". That is why we offer exams at a low fee. At this time you are invited to meet us, see our office, and with no obligation or pressure discuss your individual needs and desires for a beautiful smile.
Diagnostics: In order to insure success in our procedures, we take the necessary time to fully and thoroughly evaluate your present dental condition. We use the appropriate diagnostic tools such as X-rays, models, photographs, visual examination, full periodontal exam, cancer screening, and esthetic evaluations. Our goal is to give our patients the necessary information and education so that they may enjoy a beautiful, healthy smile for many years to come.
Cleanings: We believe a good foundation is the key to optimal oral health, therefore, our periodontal care is of utmost priority. We customize cleanings to properly care for your specific periodontal (gums & bone) needs. Whether a six month checkup or full periodontal therapy, our hygienists will always strive to provide the very best treatment while maintaining your absolute comfort.
Affordable Services
Fillings: Modern dentistry has allowed us the pleasure of combining beauty as well as strength when filling teeth. We take pride in "restoring" teeth to as close to their original strength and appearance with composite resins and ceramics. Since patient comfort is top priority, our staff go the extra mile to make coming to the dentist a positive experience. We offer Nitrous oxide, movies, music and good old TLC!
Crowns: Crowns are used to restore both anterior and posterior teeth that have been broken or are at high risk of doing so due to over-sized old fillings or fractures. There are a variety of materials used to construct these and by working with the finest laboratories in the country we are pleased to produce crowns that look and feel like your real teeth.
Bridges: Bridges are fixed, or non-removable prosthesis constructed to replace one or more missing teeth. The teeth on either side of the existing space are used to anchor the bridge to restore functionality as well as esthetics. We are now able to construct beautiful porcelain over metal as well as full porcelain and resin-based bridges to produce the best results for each particular situation.
Porcelin Veneers
Tooth veneers, the thin porcelain layers placed on the front of teeth, can be done on just one or a number of teeth. Generally people have tooth veneers done on their front teeth. These are obviously the teeth that people notice the most and show when you smile.
What is Involved in getting Tooth Veneers?
If you are getting veneers fitted to your teeth it will take two dental visits (after consultation). The time of each visit will depend on how many teeth you are getting capped. Each tooth veneer is made to fit exactly over your own tooth and time has to be taken to ensure the most natural fit.
The first visit generally involves removing a thin layer of enamel from your teeth. This is so that the veneers will fit and look natural. If enamel were not removed the tooth veneers would feel bulky and uncomfortable.
After an impression of your teeth has been made on the first visit, the second visit will involve fitting the veneers. Each tooth veneer is bonded to the front and biting edges of the natural tooth. When completed the new look will be stronger and whiter!
Cosmetic Dentistry
One of the first things that we notice about anyone we meet is their smile. If you had braces as a child then you probably remember how you managed to adjust your smile to avoid showing them. We can become very self conscious of our smile if our teeth are not looking good.
From something as simple as making your teeth whiter to repairing broken, chipped teeth or complete smile makeover, it can all be done very simply and quickly. Methods of cosmetic surgery have come a long way and there may be more than you think that can be done to improve the look of your teeth.
Looking Good and Feeling Good
The smile has to look good but just as important, or more important, is the health of your teeth. If you want to improve things with cosmetic surgery it is a good idea to make sure that your cosmetic dentist is also checking your general dental condition as well. Seeing that your teeth are feeling good as well will ensure you can keep smiling that white smile!
